Intended use
The digital oscilloscope is intended to be used for visualising electrical magnitudes and signals.
The measuring lead is connected to the oscilloscope via two sockets.
The measured signals can be stored and displayed as a reference. The control of the device is
performed via VDU-based control menus.
The maximum input variables indicated on the device must never be exceeded.
A signal generator is also integrated into the instrument.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves the
risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt, and the housing must not be opened.
Measurements are not permitted in damp rooms or outdoors, nor under adverse environmental
conditions.
Unfavourable ambient conditions are:
- Dampness or high air humidity,
- dust and combustible gases, vapours or solvents,
- thunderstorms or similar weather conditions such as strong electrostatic fields, etc.
This quick guide explains the safety measures that should be taken to make working with the
device as safe as possible. The individual functions of the device are described in more detail
in the English operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Please read through all the quick guide and operating instructions carefully
before using of the device, they contain important information on its correct
operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these
safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for personal injuries and material damages caused
by the improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases,

• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted
for safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not disassemble the product.
• This product is not a toy. Therefore, be especially careful when children are
around.
• First, connect the measurement cable to the oscilloscope; then connect the probe
to the signal measuring circuit to be tested. After finishing the measurements,
first disconnect the measurement leads from the circuit before you disconnect the
cable from the oscilloscope.
• Be especially cautious when dealing with voltages exceeding >30 V AC or >30 V
DC! Even at these voltages, there is a danger of fatal electric shock if you touch
electric conductors.
• Prior to each measurement, check your meter and its measuring leads for
damage(s). Never take any measurements if the protecting insulation is defective
(torn, missing, etc.).
• To eliminate the risks of electric shock, do not directly or indirectly touch the con-
nections/measuring points during measurements.
• Never touch the probes outside of the marked handling area during a measure-
ment. There is danger of a life-threatening electric shock.
• Do not use the device shortly before or after a thunderstorm (lightning! / high-
power surges!). Make sure that your hands, shoes, clothing, the floor, the measur-
ing device and/or measuring lines, circuits and circuit components are always dry.
• Do not use the product inside of rooms, or in poor ambient conditions, where flam-
mable gases, vapours or explosive dust may be present or are present.
• Do not operate the device near to:
- strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields
- transmitting aerials or HF generators.
These can affect the measurement.
• Only use measuring cables, or equipment, appropriate for the oscilloscope’s
specifications when taking measurements.
