3.6 - ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY
ATTENTION
The electrical connection work can only be carried out by authorised staff.
When electrical works are carried out, safety regulations must strictly be complied with, observe the standards EN
60204-1 (VDE 0113 part 1) to guarantee staff safety.
The electrical supply lines must be adequately dimensioned for the maximum current required by the actuator and
must meet IEC 227 and IEC 245 standards.
ATTENTION
The yellow and green cables can only be used to connect the ground protection.
When wires are inserted in cable glands, consider the maximum radius of the curve
ATTENTION
The PSL-AMS and PSL electrical actuators are equipped with an internal electrical insulation device,
therefore a switch or sectioning circuit must be installed; this switch must be installed near the valve and must be easily
accessible to staff.
It is important to signal the switch or sectioning circuit as the insulation circuit of the actuator/valve
ATTENTION
The electrical installation, as well as the overcurrent and overvoltage protection systems must comply
with the standards DIN IEC 60364-4-41, responsible protection class I, protection class III(24V AC / 24V DC) and also
the standard DIN IEC 60364-4-44 in compliance with the overvoltage categories of the actuator.
ATTENTION
Mechanically protect all the connection and control cables paying attention to the terminals, against
accidental release, never install power supply and control cables together on the same line, but always use two separate
lines.
3.6.1
– “AMS” VERSION WIRING DIAGRAMS
According to the dimensions of the actuator, the electrical terminals are positioned inside the “terminals box” or under the cover.
Having completed the connection, close the cover of the terminal box and the actuator well and tighten the cable glands to ensure
protection as outlined in the specifications.
The wiring diagram can differ based on the actuators in the special version.
