LOADING THE REGENERATION SALT
The effects of salt
During the washing cycle the salt goes automatically from the container to the softening unit where it dissolves the
calcium content. Dissolved calcium is washed away from the dishwasher. The softening unit is then ready again for
further action. This regeneration process works only if the salt is dissolved in water.
1. Open the appliance door, remove the lower basket and proceed as shown in Fig. 1 below.
2. Remove the regenerating salt container lid.
3. Place the funnel (included in the package) on the opening of the regenerating salt container and slowly fill the
container with the salt. The capacity of the empty container is about 1.5 kg.
4. Fill the rest of the container with water before first use. It is normal for a small amount of water to flow out of the
container during filling.
5. Close the regenerating salt container after filling.
