If you have set up the iDDNS service during the installation of IP camera, you can directly enter the web
address of your IP camera in a web browser and don’t bother with remembering the IP address. (In this
example below, replace the “compromk” what you entered in the installation process.)
Video Preference
The video preference bar provides adjustment over the interval between each "I-frame" in the compressed
MPEG-4/H.264 video stream (IP55 does not support H.264 compression). In a sequence of images, there are
inserted I-frames that can show the complete representation of the picture one sees at a particular moment.
Between I-frames are what are called P-frames (which can be decompressed using the data from preceding
frames) and B-frames (which utilizes the data from the preceding and following frames for achieving higher
compression ratio). In essence, the shorter the interval between the I-frames is, the higher the video quality
will be (motion in video will also be smoother). However, shorter I-frame interval will raise the bandwidth
consumption of the video stream and lead to larger file size of the recorded clips.
