Using FCode
Flashing the Adapter with Fcode
To update the your adapter’s Fcode, use the qla2x00flash utility.
Use the following procedure to flash the adapter with Fcode.
1. Copy the
qla2x00flash
file and
ifp2200.prom
file to the desired directory.
CAUTION:
Make sure you want to change the Flash contents. Incorrect data in the
Flash contents can render the adapter unusable, and disrupt the operating system
function.
2. Enter the
qla2x00flash
command with the appropriate path, as shown in the
following example:
qla2x00flash -l /devices/pci@1f,0/pci@1/QLGC,qla@4:devctl
