Clearing CMOS
Password Jumper Location
If the power-on password
is not known, clearing
CMOS will disable the
power-on password. To
clear CMOS, complete the
following steps:
1.
Complete the
preparation for
disassembly
.
2.
Remove the chassis
.
3.
To disable the
password, move the
jumper (1) at JP1
from 1-2 to 2-3.
4.
Wait for 10 seconds.
5.
Move the jumper (1)
at JP1 from 2-3 to 1-
2.
6.
Replace the chassis
and perform the
appropriate
troubleshooting.
