Use Pocket Excel

You can create Excel workbooks from your iPAQ Pocket PC or 
synchronize existing Excel workbooks from your computer to 
your iPAQ Pocket PC. ActiveSync 3.5 converts Excel workbooks 
into the Pocket Excel format and changes the .xls extension to 
a .pxl extension.

Ä

CAUTION: 

Because ActiveSync 3.5 converts Excel workbooks into 

the Pocket Excel format, you may lose some formatting from the 
original Excel workbook.
