Using Emergency Shutdown Procedures
If the notebook is unresponsive and you are unable to use normal
Windows shutdown procedures, try the following emergency
procedures:

Press
ctrl+alt+delete.
Then:

In Windows 2000 Professional,
select Shut Down. In
the What Do You Want the Computer To Do list, select
Restart or Shut Down, then select the OK button.

In Windows XP Professional,
select Start > Turn Off
Computer button > Turn Off.

If you are unable to shut down the notebook with
ctrl+alt+delete,
select
Fn+power.
■
If you are unable to shut down the notebook with the power
switch, disconnect the notebook from external power and
remove the battery pack.
