Thank you for purchasing COMPanion’s Area-Imaging 2D Identification Scanner.

This scanner uses a custom firmware and should not be updated or reinstalled.
!
If there is another scanner attached to your machine, it should be removed at this time. Connect the
USB Data
cable to an open USB port on your computer. If you are on OS X, a keyboard configuration
wizard may appear before continuing, please close the wizard. To properly program your scanner,
first place the desired page on a flat surface, then scan the required codes for the desired operation.

NOTE: If you have previously attached a v6450 or v6451 Drivers License Scanner be sure to disable
the Operator Permission option labeled ‘Enable ID Scanner’ at this time. This option is NOT required
for the 2D Identification Scanner.

Kiosk Sign-In
Scan this barcode to use the 2D scanner in the KeepnTrack Kiosk for Person Sign-In. This mode will
enter the First, Middle, Last Name, and Birth Date from the scanned ID. The Full Name field must be
selected in the Kiosk in order to use the 2D scanner on this window.
