Changing the filter
Changing the main filter:
The frequency with which the filter has to be changed depends, of course, on the amount of
contamination and use. As a general rule it should normally be changed every 6-9 months.
Change the filter if the following problems arise: The performance of the fan drops and the
noise level increases at the same time. The surface of the filter changes color until it becomes
similar to that of the indicator. If you notice that the filter has got to a point where it no lon-
ger removes much dust and dirt from the air.
For information on how to change the filter, please refer to the section “Before starting up”
at the beginning of this manual.
Useful information:
The filter we use in our device is no different in terms of design to the types of filters which are
used extensively in laboratories throughout the world wherever the creation of absolutely clean
ambient air is a must. We apply exactly the same principle of operation for improving the air in
your home and office.
The installed filter can filter out up to 99.97% of all microparticles (>0,03μ) from the ambient
air. By way of comparison, the human nose filters out particles bigger than 10μ from the
inhaled air. The back of the filter has a coating of activated carbon which also effectively eli-
minates odors in the air.
Cleaning the device
Pull out the power plug before starting cleaning
work!
Cleaning the housing:
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, just a damp cloth
or neutral cleaning agent.
Cleaning the air inlets:
Use a vacuum cleaner or dry cloth.
Cleaning the main filter:
The ventilation effect will drop off noticeably if a lot of dust accumulates
on the surface of the filter. You therefore need to clean the filter once
a month. Use a vacuum cleaner to do so, as shown in the illustration.
For information on how to remove the filter, please refer to the section
“Before starting up” at the very beginning of this manual.
