Firmware prior to 2.0

There was a slight change in the settings of the Mode dial between
Firmware 2.0 and earlier versions. The manual describes Firmware
2.0 and above; if you are using this manual and have a version of
firware below 2.0, use this chart to determine proper setting of the
Mode dial.

The clock displays its firmware version right after it is turned on and
has displayed the intensity setting.
