DO NOT use lighter fluid if using an electric
charcoal starter. Follow directions furnished
with starter.
Open vent doors, open grill lid and remove
grid. Do not block vent openings.
Pyramid about 50-60 charcoal briquettes in
center.
If you are not using an electric starter, apply
the lighting fluid. Light carefully with a match.
When flames disappear and coals are ½ gray,
use a tool to spread charcoal evenly.
Hint: Add damp wood shavings if desired.
Replace cooking grid, add food and close grill
lid.
If you are using liquid lighter fluid do not add
meat or close grill lid until flames have
disappeared.

use a charcoal-burning unit indoors due to hazard of carbon monoxide fumes. Lack of ventilation
can cause death.

use gasoline or kerosene for lighting and keep these fuels away from the grill.

allow children near a hot grill.
DO NOT
use under or near unprotected combustible surfaces. Keep combustible surfaces at least one
yard (1 meter) away from all sides of grill.
DO NOT

move or transport the unit when it is HOT!
DO NOT
remove ashes or coals until they are completely burned out and are cold.
DO NOT
wear loose clothing while lighting or using the barbecue grill.
Warning: The edges of sheet metal parts can cause injury if not handled with
care. USE EXTREME CAUTION!
USE ONLY where permitted by local codes and regulations!
Plastic bags may cause suffocation. Dispose of all packaging materials properly.
Keep the barbecue grill in a level position at all times.
Use only a method of lighting, which is acceptable to your local codes. The manufacturer of this product
does not assume liability for damage due to excessive heat or use of flammable fuels.
Closing vent doors slightly or all the way can control a Grease Fire. After a grease fire always use care
when opening the grill lid as it may flare up again when exposed to air.
Read and follow all instructions and warnings on charcoal package.
Protective gloves and long handled tools are recommended for use with this barbecue.
NEVER
touch the cooking or charcoal grate, or the barbecue to see if they are hot.
To extinguish the coals, close vent doors and the lid all the way.

WHEN COOKING WITH THE GRILL LID IN
CLOSED POSITION.
1. Closing the vent doors partially will restrict
airflow, lower cooking temperature and
increase cooking time.
2. Closing vent doors all the way will put out the
fire.
CORRECT USE FOR BUILDING A FIRE

NOTE: Store this product in a dry place. Ashes
will corrode metal rapidly if left in bottom.
