Accessories
Accessories can affect the handing and
control of your vehicle. Keep the following in
mind when considering an accessory or
operating a vehicle that has accessories.
●
Choose only accessories designed for
your vehicle. Your service center has a
variety of genuine accessories. Other
accessories may also be available on the
market. However, it is not possible to test
all nonstandard accessories, nor have
any control over the quality or suitability
of them. Choose a genuine accessory, or
one that is equivalent in design and
quality.
●
Accessories should be rigidly and
securely mounted. An accessory that
can shift position or come off while you
are operating could affect your ability to
control the vehicle.
●
Do not mount an accessory where it
could interfere with your ability to control
the vehicle. Examples include (but are
not limited to) an object that limits your
ability to turn the steering wheel or one
that limits your view.
●
Use extra caution when driving a vehicle
with accessories. The vehicle may
handle differently than it does without
accessories.
