CLEANING SPARK ARRESTER

Unscrew the 3

(8mm)

bolts

(#4)

securing the muffler end cap to

muffler by

using a 8mm socket wrench.

Unscrew the 3

Phillips screws

(#5)

securing

spark

arrester

to muffler

Carefully remove the spark arrester from the muffler assembly.

Remove accumulated carbon on the spark arrestor screen with soap and water and remove hard to remove carbon carefully with a brass

wire brush and then rinse and dry the spark arrestor.

Check the

spark arrestor

for damage, and replace it if necessary.

Install the

hillips screws

(#5)

and

tighten them to the specified torque.

Install the 3

(8mm)

bolts

(#4)

securing the muffler end cap to the muffler and tighten them to the specified torque.

Be sure the exhaust pipe and muffler are cool before cleaning the spark arrester
