1. Place the transmission in neutral with the parking brake applied.
2. Warm up the engine by running the vehicle.
3. Adjust the carburetor idle screw until the desired idle RPM is reached. Turning the idle screw in
(clockwise) to raise RPM. Turning the screw out (counterclockwise) will lower RPM.
4. The standard idle RPM is 1500 ±150.
ENGINE IDLE ADJUSTMENT
If the engine idle speed is not satisfactory, and all other conditions are favorable, the carburetor can be adjusted as follows:
