12.4.2.1    Offset

 

Selecting ‘Offset’ for the 

Attenuation Mode 

will allow 

you to enter the Input and Output Offset values for 
the VOA channel. 

 

The VOA channel attenuation offset will be evaluated 
using the summation of the attenuation loss within 
the VOABlade (Absolute) and the user specified Input 
and Output Offsets within this ‘

12.4.2.2    Absolute

 

When in ‘

Absolute’ Attenuation Mode 

the VOA channel attenuation offset will be evaluated using only the 

attenuation loss within the VOABlade. 

 

The minimum value will correspond to the factory set insertion loss of the channels. 

 

12.4.2.3    Relative

 

When in ‘

Relative’ Attenuation Mode 

the VOA channel attenuation offset will be evaluated using only the 

attenuation loss across the VOA itself. 

 

The minimum value is set to 0.0 dB.
