cient contact, (a) grasp and lift
the pod slightly. If the subject has dense hair, move aside the hair directly
underneath the sensor pod. Lower the pod back in place, keeping the
sensor aligned with the subject
’
s head. Gently wiggle the pod back and
forth to help move the sensor through the subject
’
s hair. (b) Lightly press
down on the pod with your finger. Hold for 5 to seconds, then gently
remove your finger from the pod.
When manipulating a sensor position, avoid movements that disrupt
neighboring locations or the entire headset. Dry electrodes naturally
’
settle
in
’
with improved contact impedances by themselves after a minute or two.
Unnecessary movements of sensors that already have already achieved scalp
contact disrupt this process and are counterproductive.
