Should the base plate have been oriented in this preferred
direction to start off with....what is the preferred plane?
NOTE:
Check the guys regularly.
Connecting the cables from the interface unit to the
transceiver
CAUTION: If the control cable from the interface unit to the
transceiver is longer than 13 m, the interface unit
requires a separate 12 V DC power source.
To connect the cables:

Connect the RF and control cables to the respective
connectors on the interface unit.

Seal the connectors using self-amalgamating tape.

Connect the other end of the cables to the transceiver.

If a separate 12 V DC power source is required, do the
following:
• Remove the dust cap from the Power I/P connector.
• Connect the external DC power cable.
• Seal the connector using self-amalgamating tape.
• Connect the bare wires to an appropriate DC power
source.
