6.2 Adding your Compact DVR
a.
Select ‘Device Manage’ from the Control Panel
b.
On the left hand side, right click using your computer’s mouse, then select
‘Add Area’
c.
Name the area as desired, then press ‘OK’ to proceed

On the left hand side, right click on the area you’ve added, then select ‘Add
Device’
e.
Either enter your DVR network settings here, or select ‘Search Device’ to
attempt to find your local DVR
f.
Input a valid User and Password, matching the one that you’ve set to the DVR
g.
Select ‘OK’. Your device has now been successfully added
6.3 Viewing your Compact DVR
a.
Select ‘Live’ from the Control Panel
b.
On the right hand side, you will notice your ‘Area’ and ‘DVR IP Address’ are listed. If the DVR
icon is solid, the DVR is online

Right-click on the DVR and select ‘Open’, to open the view of all four cameras
d.
You can now view your cameras in the main viewing screen
6.4 iVSS Additional Features
6.4.1 Taking a Picture
While viewing the camera feed, highlight a channel by clicking on it with your computer’s mouse.
The channel will have an orange box surrounding it. Press the camera button on the bottom right
of the window to take a picture.
6.4.2 Recording Video
While viewing the camera feed, highlight a channel by clicking on it with your computer’s mouse.
The channel will have an orange box surrounding it. Press the record button on the bottom right
of the window to commence recording mode. To stop recording, press the record button again.
NOTE:
You can also record single channels by right clicking the channel and selecting ‘Start Record’
from the popup menu
6.4.3 Local Config
Use these settings to configure where your local iVSS files are stored.
