Check the coil using the signal check

Turn on the processor as normal. The light on the
signal check should light up when placed over the
coil on the child’s head.
If the red light does not come on:
First change headset cable. Speak into the microphone. Check the
signal.
If the red light still does not come on:
Change transmitting cable. Speak into the microphone. Check the
signal.
If the red light still does not come on:
Plug the lapel microphone into the
accessory input socket. Speak into the
lapel microphone.
If the light goes on:
There is something wrong with the microphone. Return it to the CI
centre.
Or you can check if the processor is transmitting sounds to the
implant by placing the coil over the back of the Sprint
.
Turn the processor on. If it is working
correctly this symbol should appear in the
LCD:
If it does not the transmitting
coil or transmitting cable need
to be changed.
