D. PPTP Connection
PPTP is a common type of Internet access provided by many Internet Service
Providers. It requires you to enter the
User Name, Password, Server IP
Address, My IP Address, My Subnet Mask and Connection ID
to obtain
authentication. Additional two optional fields might also be assigned value by
user:
a.
Idle Time
field: If the
Idle Time
was specified with non-zero number,
Broadband Router disconnects the PPTP session after there was no data
traffic on WAN interface within the specified “I
dle Time
” minutes.
b.
Auto-reconnect
field: Once there is any outgoing data traffic, the router
automatically re-establishes the PPTP session.
Click the
Next button and
the “LAN Setting” page, Figure 4 – 3, appears on the
screen.
