Fitting
Mounting the handle
– Position the bottom part of the handle bar (4)
into the locators on the product and tighten with
screws (11).
– Position the middle part of the handle bar (8)
onto the bottom part of the handle bar and push
through the carriage bolts (12).
– Position the toggle nuts (13) and tighten.
– Push the cable grip (3) onto the handle bar (2).
– Position the handle bar (2) onto the middle part
of the handle bar and push through the carriage
bolts (14).
– Position the toggle nuts (15) and tighten.
– Screw the operating lever to the guide pin with
screws (16).
Operation
Check before use!
Check the safe condition of the machine:
– Check it for visual defects.
– Check that all parts of the machine have been
securely fitted.
Changing the working roller
According to need, the machine can be operated
either with a de-thatching roller [1] or an aerated
roller [2].
– Turn the machine over, and prevent it from tip-
ping.
– Unscrew screws (19).
– Remove the bearing case (18).
– Lift up the working roller (17) and remove it to the
side.
– Clean bearing surfaces if necessary.
– Attach the bearing seat (18) to the working roll.
– Push the hexagon section of the working roll into
the mount (20) as illustrated.
– Screw the bearing case tight with screws (19).
– Stand the machine on its wheels.
– Carry out a test run. If there are unusual noises,
switch the machine off immediately and check
that the roller was installed correctly.
Adjusting the working depth
Depending on the wear on the working roller, the set-
ting can be modified (working depths:
– Switch the machine off.
– Raise the machine at the front.
– Set the desired depth with slider (6).
– Lower the machine again.
Attaching the cuttings bag
– Lift the protective flap (5) and hold.
– Slot the cuttings bag (7) into place.
– Ensure that the bag has slotted into place
securely.

faults. If a part has become defective, make
sure to replace it before you use the
machine again.

The work-
ing roller’s discs and tines are sharp. Wear
working gloves.
