Operation
Check before switching on!
Check the safe condition of the appliance:
– Check it for visual defects.
– Check that all parts of the machine have
been securely fitted.
Switching on/off
– Switching on: Set the On/Off switch (1) to
position [1].
– Switching off: Set the On/Off switch (1) to
position [0].
Grinding/sanding
– Clamp in the workpiece or hold it firmly.
– Switch on the product and press it
against the surface to be sanded apply-
ing even pressure.
– Always use constant motion and only use
light pressure.
Cleaning
Overview of cleaning
Regularly, depending on conditions of use
Empty the dust container
– Pull the dust collector (2) fully away from
the rear of the device.
– Remove the dust collection bag (6) and
empty.
– Re-install the dust container in reverse
order.
Malfunctions and troubleshoot-
ing
In the event of a malfunction…
Minor faults are often sufficient to cause a
malfunction. In most cases, you will be able
to correct these faults easily yourself. Please
start by referring to the following table before
contacting your OBI market. This will help
you save much effort and possibly expense.

The machine must only be used for
dry sanding.
Note:
When working vertical surfaces, hold
the device in such a manner that the
dust sack faces downward.
Note:
Excess pressure does not result in
improved sanding performance, but
increases the wear on the appliance
and the sanding sheet.

Remove all dust
from the ventilation
slits of the motor.
Use a vacuum clean-
er or a brush.
Clean the machine.
Wipe the unit with a
slightly damp cloth
Note:
Always empty the dust collector to
ensure optimum dust collection.

Improperly conducted repairs may
prevent your machine from working
safely. Such repairs will endanger
you and your surroundings.
