CHARGER INFORMATION LIGHT
Precedent electric vehicles equipped with the high frequency charger feature a dash-mounted Charger Information
Light in place of the Battery Warning Light (3)
(Figure 8) . This light is controlled by the high frequency charger. It
uses red, green and amber LED’s to provide information about the state of the charging cycle and whether or not the
charger and associated hardware are functioning properly (i.e. Power-On Self Test and fault codes). Any time the
charger AC cord is pugged into an AC outlet, the charger will perform a Power-On Self Test and the light will flash
each color once starting with red, then green, and amber. While charging, the green LED will flash quickly at the start
and throughout most of the charge cycle. The green LED will flash slowly near the end of the charge cycle. It will no
longer flash and remain illuminated once the charge is complete and the charger has entered maintenance mode.

TOW/RUN SWITCH
WARNING
• Place Tow/Run switch in the TOW position before disconnecting or connecting the batteries. Failure to
heed this warning could result in a battery explosion or severe personal injury.
• When the Tow/Run switch is in the TOW position, all motor braking functions, including walk away
braking, are disabled.
The Precedent electric vehicles are equipped with a Tow/Run switch, located under the seat behind the batteries
(Figure 12) or (Figure 13) . The switch must be in the RUN position in order to operate the vehicle. When the switch is
in the TOW position, power to the vehicle electrical components is turned off and the vehicle will not operate. See
following NOTE.
NOTE: After placing the Tow/Run switch in the TOW position, allow 10 seconds to elapse before switching back to
the RUN position.
After placing the Tow/Run switch in the RUN position, allow 10 seconds to elapse before operating the vehicle.
