Warning for operating on units with R32
The R32 refrigerant is classified as low flammability,
class A2L (according to ISO 817).
The jobs must be carried out by personnel trained
in the use of flammable refrigerants.
Prior to working on the refrigeration circuit, make
sure the workplace complies with the following
characteristics:
suitable ventilation
absence of flammable materials
absence of ignition sources
presence of fire extinguishing means
exclusive presence of personnel duly informed
on the flammability risk
Procedures for jobs on the refrigeration circuit
When detecting leaks, use equipment that does not
generate sparks.
when recovering the gas, use equipment suitable for use
with class A2L refrigerants
check the work area with a refrigerant gas
detector
empty out the refrigeration circuit
flush with nitrogen
create the vacuum
flush with nitrogen
carry out the job on the refrigeration circuit
in case the exchanger needs to be replaced,
make sure there is no refrigerant in the
hydraulic circuit
in case the compressor needs to be replaced,
make sure there is no refrigerant in the
compressor itself
at the end of the job, check the work area with
a refrigerant gas detector
General
Companies and technicians that carry out installation,
maintenance/repairs, leak control and recovery jobs must
be CERTIFIED as required by local regulations.
Maintenance must be done by authorized centres or
by qualified personnel.
The maintenance allows to:
maintain the unit efficiency
reduce the deterioration speed to whom every
equipment is subject over time
assemble information and data to understand
the state of the unit efficiency and avoid
possible damages
Before checking, please verify the following:
the electrical power supply line should be
isolated at the beginning
the unit isolator is open, locked and equipped
with the suitable warning
make sure no tension is present
After turning off the power, wait at least 5 minutes
before accessing to the electrical panel or any other
electrical component.
Before accessing check with a multimeter that there
are no residual stresses.
