•
Check the pressure regulator seal for correct fitting and tightness.
•
Ensure that the gas-hose is not twisted or allow them to come
into contact with hot- and/or sharp surface.
•
Check the gas-hose and connections for leaks at least once a
month and each time you connect or reconnect a gas bottle. In
case of any embrittlement, cracks or other defects, the hose has
to be replaced immediately by a new one of same quality and
length.
•
In the event of a gas leak, immediately close the gas cylinder.
•
Turn off the gas valve on the gas cylinder after each use.
•
Disconnect the gas cylinder when the Clifton is not in use and
before moving it.
•
Never change the air valve settings of the burner.
•
Never obstruct the free flow of air to your Clifton and the gas
cylinder.
•
Do not touch the lava stones or ceramic logs (is accessory) until
these have completely cooled down.
•
On first use, preheat the lava stones at highest setting for 15
minutes, in order to remove impurities and trapped air from the
natural lava stone. It may happen, that lava stones (in part) will
snap and/or particles will be ejected. So hold during this time at
least 2 meters around the Clifton clear of flammable objects.
•
Modifications and/or repairs to your appliance should always be
made by a licensed gas fitter or an appropriately qualified person.
•
If the gas-hose need to be replaced it must comply with local
regulations. For proper operation and safety reasons the gas-
hose may not exceed a length of 2.0 meters.
