The CLEMENS HEXAGON mainly consists of the following components:
Figure 1 Overall view
The working principle of the CLEMENS HEXAGON is that the working width of the basic frame is infinitely
adjustable with the aid of a master/slave cylinder and can thus be adapted to suit the individual row widths. The
adjustment range is 2 x
270 mm = 540 mm (21“) for HEXAGON 729, 2 x 200 mm = 400 mm (16”) for HEXAGON
723 and 2 x 430 mm = 860 mm (34”) for HEXAGON 724.
In order to work both the right and left vine rows at the same time in one go, it is possible to attach both a left and
right-hand
RADIUS All-around weeder
.
The mounted land roller or cage roller serves to guide the depth of the HEXAGON tools. When the frame is used
as a pure carrier frame for devices for under-vine care (for example, RADIUS), the depth guidance can also take
place via support wheels.
The height of the chisel body (tine 70 x 20 mm (approx. 2¾” x ¾”) secured with attachment clamp) can be adjusted
so that it can be adapted to the ground conditions. As alternative, CLEMENS offers you also a tine 80 x 25 mm
(approx. 3
⅕
x 1
”) with adjustable angle of the share and especially hardened chisel share. This chisel body can
be used, due to its easy adjustment by clamping sleeves, for undercutting grass (flat angle) as well as for open
soil or for crumbling work (steep angle). In order not to damage the HEXAGON during operation as a result of
large hidden stones, the chisel bodies are fitted with shearing pins and the chisel body can therefore swivel
backwards. The destroyed shearing pins then have to be replaced by new ones.
