• Do not cover the device during operation to prevent a risk of

Connecting the vacuum cleaner properly
• Only connect the device to a properly installed socket. The socket
must also be easily accessible after the device has been connect-
ed. The mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the
device (see chapter “Technical data”). Only use proper extension
cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the device.
• Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping
hazard.
• Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such
that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
Proper use
• Only use and store the device in enclosed areas. Do not oper-
ate it outdoors, in rooms with high humidity or on hot surfaces.
• If you use the device as a handheld vacuum cleaner to clean a
car, make sure that the device and mains cord are not exposed
to rain or moisture.
• Each time before you use the device and the accessories, check
them for damages. If the device, cable, plug,
fi
lters or accesso-
ries are visibly damaged, do not use the device. Do not attempt
to repair the device or to replace parts yourself. In the event of
damage, contact the customer service department.
• Do not use the device if it had a malfunction or if objects have
been vacuumed up that are excluded in the description of prop-
er use (see chapter “Proper use”) or if the device has fallen
down. Have a professional check the device.
• In the event of damages/malfunctions, immediately deactivate
the device.
• Only use the device if it has been completely and correctly assem-
bled! The dust bin and the
fi
lters must be in place and undamaged!
If dirt in
fi
ltrates the motor unit, it could damage the motor.
• Do not use the device in water or other liquids in order to avoid
the risk of electrical shocks.
