BEWARE of hot steam! This device works with hot steam!
Operate the device with caution.
■
The device must always be disconnected from the mains power
when it is not being used and before assembling, disassembling
or cleaning the device.
■
The device must not be used if it has been dropped, if obvious
signs of damage are visible and if it has leaks.
■
Do not make any modi fi cations to the device. If the connecting
cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the man-
ufacturer, customer service department or a similarly quali
fi ed
person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.
■
Allow the device to cool down completely before the water tank
is emptied and / or the device is cleaned and stored away.
■
It is essential to follow the instructions in the “Cleaning and Stor-
age” chapter.
DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock
■ Use the device only in closed rooms.
■ Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.
■ Never immerse the device and the connecting cable in water or other liquids and
ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
■ Should the device fall into water, switch o ff the power supply immediately. Do not
attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
■ Never touch the device and the connecting cable with wet hands when the device is
connected to the mains power.
■ Never direct the steam directly at the connecting cable or parts containing electrical
components (such as inside ovens, fridges, at switches and lights, microwave ovens).
■ Never exceed the maximum fi ll level of the water tank to prevent over fl owing (note
the MAX marking on the measuring cup!).
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■ Danger of su ff ocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging mate-
rial.
■ Danger of scalding from hot steam!
■ Never attempt to smooth clothes while somebody is wearing them.
■ Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants.
CAUTION: hot surfaces! The steam bottom of the device and the attachment
used may become hot during use. You should therefore only hold the device by
the handle when you are operating it. Do not touch the steam bottom or the at-
tachment used during or shortly after use.
