General Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the
appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the
warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal
packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass
on the operating instructions.
• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use
and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fi t
for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is
designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources
of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid)
and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance
and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the
plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and
remove the attached accessories.
• Do
not
operate the machine without supervision. If you
should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off
or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not
the lead).
• Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular
basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always
contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure
to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by
the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualifi ed
person and with a cable of the same type.
• Use only original spare parts.
• Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instruc-
tions“.
Children and Frail Individuals
• In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all
packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their
reach.
Caution!
Do not allow small children to play with the foil as
there is a
danger of suffocation
!
• In order to protect children or frail individuals from the ha-
zards of electrical equipment, please ensure that this device
is only used under supervision. This device is not a toy. Do
not
allow small children to play with it.
Special Safety Measures for this Device
WARNING: During operation the temperature of the
exposed surface may be very hot. Danger of burns!.
• Keep the unit at a safe distance from easily infl ammable
objects such as furniture, curtains, etc. (30 cm). Oil and fat
preparations may burn if overheated.
Warning: Danger of
fi re!
• Place the unit on a fl at and heat-resistant surface.
• In the case of sensitive surfaces please place a heat-resis-
tant board under the pan.
• Never let any water get into the fat.
• Do not move the device when it is in use.
• The items being grilled should only be removed from the grill
plate with the help of appropriate implements.
• During use, ensure that the mains lead does not come into
contact with hot sections of the device.
• Only the supplied accessories should be used.
• In order to avoid the accumulation of heat you should not
place the device directly under a cupboard. Please ensure
suffi cient clearance!
• The device is
not
suitable for operation outdoors!
•
Do not touch the hot parts of the device. If necessary, you
should use an oven cloth and hold the device only by the
handle or the recessed grip.
• Always carry the device with both hands.
• Allow the device to cool down before cleaning it and putting
it away.
Set-up for use
Remove the appliance from the box and all the enclosed
accessories.
Do not through the packaging away, but keep it together with the
inner packing and the warranty documents for the whole life of
the warranty.
Non-stick coating
• Grease the pans and the cooking plates slightly. Insert the
pans in the relevant cavities in the bottom plate. Place the
grill plate on the heating rods. Please note the recesses
on the edge of the grill plate and ensure that it is correctly
positioned.
• Make the appliance work for about 5 minutes without any
food in it to remove the protective coating (see Using the
unit). A small amount of smoke is normal. Please ensure
that there is adequate ventilation.
• Clean the pans and the baking plate in a rinsing bath once
they have cooled down. Your new unit is now ready for
operation.
Connection
•
Fully unwind the mains cable.
•
Before inserting the mains plug into the socket check
whether the voltage which you intend to use corresponds to
that of the machine. Please see the label on the machine for
details.
•
Only connect the machine to a correctly installed safety
socket, 230 V/50 Hz.
Control Lamp
After you have inserted the plug and pressed the
I/O
toggle
switch, the red control lamp lights up to indicate that the device
is connected to the mains.
Using the unit
1. Cut all the ingredients into small pieces or slices.
2. Lightly grease the baking plate.
3. Switch on the kettle by pressing the
I/O
switch. To control
lamp lights up. The device should be preheated for approxi-
mately 5-10 minutes.
