TROUBLESHOOTING TABLES
Problem
Cause & Solution
The generator does not start.
Check :
• Correct electrical connections
• If the environmental thermostat is fitted
The fan does not work.
Check:
• The motor power cable
• The protection fuse
The fan works but there is no combustion
(after a few seconds the RESET button lights
up)
• Check fuel level / Check diesel filter for
blockage
• Check that the nozzle is not clogged
• Check that there is no air in the fuel circuit
• Dirty photocell: remove it from its support
and clean it
• Combustion control box defective: replace
it
• Check if a spark is produced between the
electrodes. If not, check the position and the
good condition of the electrodes and the
high voltage cables
• Check the fuse in the control box
• Check if the transformer is burned
The unit overheats during normal operation.
• The fuel flow rate is too high due to nozzle
wear or the use of a nozzle with different
characteristics than the original
• Obstructions in the ventilation air path
If the unit is switched off by the switch or the
room thermostat, the fan does not work and
the generator overheats.
• Defective combustion control box
The device emits white smoke.
• Excessive combustion air or poor quality
fuel
• Impurities in fuel, clean tank, filter and
lines. Replace fuel.
The device emits black smoke.
• Too much combustion air or too high fuel
flow due to :
- nozzle out of adjustment or not in
conformity = replace
Never stop the generator by unplugging it from the power outlet; in this case, post-cooling
will be impossible. If the nozzle needs to be replaced, replace it with a nozzle having the
same characteristics as the one installed by the manufacturer.
