Assembly & Use
Note
• When placing the product outdoors, make sure that it has
access to maximum sunlight and is not affected by other
light sources such as street lights.
• When the battery is fully charged, the light will shine for
approximately 8 hours in the dark.
1. Dismantle the parts of the bollard (refer to the
Product
description
section, 1–6).
2. Place the base (5) on a level surface such as a deck or lawn.
3. Fasten the base to the underlying surface so that the bollard
stands steady. There are two ways to do this, depending on
the type of underlying surface:
-
A hard surface, such as stone/wood: Place a weight
(stone or similar) in the bottom of the base.
-
A soft surface such as grass: Push the ground spike (6)
through the hole in the bottom of the base and push it
into the ground. Add a weight to the bottom of the base
if required.
4. Fit the lower light emitter (4) onto the base.
5. Fit the middle section (3) onto the lower light emitter.
3. Take out the plate and turn it
around. Be careful not to damage
the cables and the circuit board.
4. Change the battery and make sure
that it is inserted with the correct
polarity.
6. Fit the upper light emitter (2) onto
the middle section.
7. Set the power switch on the under-
side of the top section (1) to
ON
.
8. Fit the top section onto the upper
light emitter.
9. The lamp comes on automatically
at dusk.
Care and maintenance
• Clean the product using a slightly damp cloth. Use only mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Replacing the battery, when required:
1. Lift off the top section.
2. Remove the 4 screws on
the underside of the top section.
Troubleshooting guide
What to do if the lamp does not shine:
• Check that the power switch is in the
ON
position.
• The battery is discharged. Make sure the bollard is exposed
to sunlight.
• The solar cell is dirty. Clean it by wiping with a damp cloth.
