Troubleshooting guide
The air fryer won't
switch on.
• Is the mains lead undamaged and properly plugged into
a wall socket?
• Is the wall socket energised?
• Is the timer set correctly?
The food is not
cooked but the time
has elapsed.
• The temperature is too low.
• The cooking time is too short.
• The basket contains too much food.
The food is cooked
unevenly.
• Some items of food might need to be shaken a little
halfway through their cooking time.
The food is not crisp
after cooking.
• Make sure to use the right type of food. Food for frying
in oil is not suitable for an air fryer.
• Try coating the food with a little oil before cooking.
Steam is emitted
during cooking.
• Fatty foods can release fat into the pan. Steam is formed
and the pan becomes hotter than normal. This will not
damage the air fryer or negatively affect the food.
• The pan contains fat from previous use. Make sure to
clean the pan properly between uses.
Raw chips cook
unevenly.
• Raw chips should be rinsed to remove starch before
cooking.
• Have you used an unsuitable type of potato?
French fries not
crispy after cooking.
• Try coating them with a little oil before cooking.
• Cut them into thinner batons.
