OPERATION

Using the Shop Press
1.
Place workpiece onto the arbor
plates.
2.
Align the workpiece beneath the
ram as required.
3.
Close the release valve by
turning it clockwise until it is firmly
closed.
4.
Insert the pump handle into
either the high pressure or low
pressure slots
5.
Pump the handle slowly until the
ram is close to, or just touching,
the workpiece.
6.
Pump the handle slowly to apply
pressure to the workpiece.
7.
When work is done, stop
pumping the handle. Slowly and
carefully turn the release valve
anticlockwise to release pressure from the workpiece
Note: Always keep the ram retracted after use to avoid corrosion.
8.
Once the ram has fully retracted, remove workpiece from work bed.
