Overview
A Cisco UCS 6300 Series Fabric Interconnect provides network connectivity and management capabilities
for the UCS system. The UCS 6300 Series Fabric Interconnect supports the management of power supplies,
fans, and blade servers in the UCS 5108 Server Chassis. When connected to the UCS 2304 I/O module, a
UCS 6300 Series Fabric Interconnect provides an end-to-end 40-Gigabit Ethernet and 16-Gigabit Fibre Channel
architecture.
• The UCS 6332 Fabric Interconnect is a 1 rack unit (RU) is 32-port Ethernet or FCoE chassis that provides
40-Gigabit Ethernet switching.
• The UCS 6332-16UP Fabric Interconnect is a 1 RU chassis that supports Ethernet, FCoE, and and Fibre
Channel. It has 16 Fibre Channel ports and 24 40-Gigabit QSFP+ ports.
SNMP Traps
You can set SNMP traps to monitor fans, power supplies, and temperature settings, or to test a call home
application. For details, see the

Server Port Link State Transitions
When cables of server ports are removed from the Fabric Interconnect, Cisco UCS Manager displays a message
indicating that the link is down because of link failure or not connected. Before the cable is plugged back in,
a false "[F0276][cleared]" event might be logged after 20 to 30 seconds.
When a port that is Up gets disconnected, it transitions to a Link Down status.
