Port Adapter Overview

The PA-VXA-1TE1-24+(=) (see

Figure 1-1

) is a single port T1/E1 voice port adapter with seven active

digital signal processors (DSPs). This PA-VXA can support up to 28 simultaneous medium-complexity
codec (G.729a, G.726, or G.711) voice channels—enough channels to support a single T1 or E1 line.
