Using the Catalyst 2924M XL DC Ethernet Switch

Introduction
The Catalyst 2924M XL DC switch is equipped with an on-board direct-current
(DC) power converter. The DC-power converter has dual feeds (A and B) that are
diode OR’d into a single power block.
The front panel of the switch provides 24 10/100 ports, 2 high-speed expansion
slots, a set of LEDs, and a Mode button. The rear panel of the switch (Figure 1)
provides an RJ-45 console port, a ground lug, and a DC power connector (also
referred to as the terminal block header). The switch is shipped with a terminal
block plug inserted in the DC power connector. For more information about the
