Quick Start Guide
•
Connect cables
o
Microphone Cable & Power Cable
If not already connected
•
Check instrument batteries
o
Replace the instrument batteries if they are not full
•
Connect Microphone & Preamplifier
o
Connect microphone & preamplifier to cable
o
Connect to tripod mount
•
Plug in power supply
o
Switch on power supply
o
Check clock
Adjust if needed
•
Calibrate sound level meter
o
Attach acoustic calibrator
Switch on calibrator
o
Press Calibrate on sound level meter
Wait for calibration cycle
o
Remove acoustic calibrator
Take care
o
Attach windshield
•
Start measurement
o
Press start key on sound level meter
•
Starting & Stopping audio recordings
o
Use the remote control to start & stop audio recordings
•
Stop measurement
o
Press the Stop key on the sound level meter
o
Press the Exit button on the sound level meter
•
Switch off
o
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. The instrument will show the
progress of the switch off process.
•
Disconnect microphone & preamplifier
o
Remove windshield
o
Remove from tripod mount
o
Store in case
•
Download the measurements to the NoiseTools software
