Industrial, Scientific, or Medical band operating at 2.4 GHz.
Allows use of a radio without a license, but the equipment must
be immune to interference from other users in the band and
approved for use in the intended country.
Latency
The delay between when data is received on TX until it is
output on RX.
protocol
A system of rules that controls the operation of a
communications system and facilitates the orderly transfer of
information.
RMA
Return Material Authorization.
RTU
Remote Terminal Unit. A device used in data collection.
TDMA
Time Division Multi Access. A time slot multiplexing protocol
for multi-node networking.
transparent
A type of transmission used in BISYNC in which the receiving
terminal ignores the contents of the text field. Transparent
transmission is used to communicate non-text data where a data
word in the text field could be confused with a control
character.
