Shielding Gas hose is

Replace or repair the Shielding
Gas Hose.

Shielding Gas passage
contains impurities.

Turn Off Shielding Gas supply at
cylinder or source and disconnect
gas hose from the rear of the
power source and blow out
impurities.

Shielding Gas
Regulator turned Off.

Turn On the Shielding Gas
Regulator and adjust the flow rate
to suit the welding job. Refer to
Table 5-5 on page 5-7.

Empty Shielding Gas
cylinder.

Replace Shielding Gas cylinder.

Tig Torch 8 Pin
Control Plug is not
connected correctly or
the Tig Torch Trigger
Switch, 8 Pin Control
Plug or Lead is faulty.

Ensure that the 8 Pin Control Plug
is correctly connected or repair
or replace the Tig Torch Trigger
Switch or 8 Pin Control Plug or
Lead.

Shielding Gas Valve in
Power Source is not
operating correctly.

Have an Accredited Cigweld
service provider repair or replace
the Shielding Gas Valve.

Gas flow continues after
the torch trigger switch has
been released (TIG mode).

Post flow is active in
TIG mode.
A
Post Gas Flow time is not
adjustable and cannot be adjusted
independently of the Welding
Current. The Post Flow time range
is approximately 1 to 8 seconds
depending on the Welding
Current Setting. For example if
the Welding Current is set to 10
amps the Post Gas Flow time will
be approximately 1 second. If
the Welding Current is set to 200
Amps the Post Gas Flow time will
be approximately 8 seconds.

Shielding Gas valve
has jammed open due
to impurities in the
gas or the gas line.

Have an accredited CIGWELD
service provider repair or replace
shielding gas valve.
