SAFETY ALERT SYMBOL
- This symbol is used to alert
you to potential personal injury hazards. Obey all safety
messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible in-
jury or death.
2.2 Safety Symbols
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which,
if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
This signal word is limited to the most extreme
situations.
Hazard Classifications
Hazards are identified by the “Safety Alert Symbol” and followed by the signal word
“DANGER”, “WARNING”, or “CAUTION”.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if
not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which,
if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate
injury.
Indicates a situation which may cause damage to equipment or
property. Messages are not related to personal injury.
Indicates specific safety-related instructions or procedures.
