Mounting receiver boxes recessed in the ceiling with a block
and hanger
Recessed mounting in the ceiling works with a mounting block adapter (P/N: 174-107109-XX) and
Erico
™
hanger or an equivalent mounting fixture.
Caution! If not avoided, the following could result in minor or moderate injury.
•
Ensure load wires and anchoring comply to local building regulations and codes.
•
Ensure load wires are connected between the receiver box, mounting structure, and the load
bearing surface (higher than the tile) according to local building regulations and codes.
The following Erico commercial hangers are compatible with CounterAct:

1. Ensure the power is turned off at the source.
2. Remove the two adjacent ceiling panels where the block and hanger will be installed, leaving
the T-bar between them accessible.
3. Remove the tile unit where you plan to mount the receiver box and cut a round hole 350 to
360 mm/13.8 to 14.2 inches (C in image below) in diameter.
4. Install the ceiling tile you cut the hole in from step 3.
5. Using two M4 screws, attach the rotation plate to the top of the receiver box.
