7.5 Programming Communications Transmission/Remote Parameters
Parameters related to Communications Transmission/Remote are provided to the Mode 6. Program
the “Communications Function” , “Transmission Speed” , “Character” , “Digital Transmission Type”
and “Remote Shift” by following the flowchart on page 3.
“Remote Shift” is only programmed for the Communications Remote.
7.5.1 Programming Protocol (PtCL)
(1) Press , then you will see

(2) Choose the protocol by pressing and , then press to register.

*If a protocol is changed, communication function and character will become an initial value.
7.5.2 Programming Communications Functions (FunC)
(1) Press , then you will see

(2) Choose the “trs.2” by pressing

: Programmed for communications with a personal computer (Default CoM)
: Programmed for communication transmission with MODBUS (on a master unit)
7.5.3 Programming Transmission Speed (rAtE)
LT8 controllers to be used as a master unit (Communications Transmission) and slave units
(Communications Remote) have to be programmed at same transmission speed.
