Vehicle Care
10-73
6. Turn the jack handle clockwise
to raise the vehicle far enough
off the ground to allow enough
room for the spare tire to fit onto
the vehicle with space between
the tire and the ground.
7. Remove all of the wheel nuts
and place them in a dry, clean
place to avoid getting dirt in the
threads.
8. Remove the flat tire.
9. If the flat tire has a metal bolt-on
hub cap, turn the hub cap
wrench counterclockwise to
loosen the hub cap bolts.
The bolts, spacers, and o-rings
on the underside of the cap
should remain attached to the
cap. If the spacers or o-rings
separate from the cap or bolts,
refit them onto the bolts.
Do not drop the hub cap or lay it
face down to avoid scratching or
damage to it.
