Installing the Spare Tire
{
WARNING
The wheel cover may be sharp
and cause injury. Use gloves or a
cloth when removing the wheel
cover.
Notice:
Damage to the wheel
cover may occur if it is dropped
or placed face down. Place the
wheel cover face up to avoid
scratching or damage to it.
1. If the flat tire has a plastic
bolt-on cover, turn the wheel
wrench counterclockwise to
loosen the plastic nut caps.
The nut caps may click during
loosening. The nuts caps will
remain in the wheel cover after
it is removed from the wheel.
If necessary, use the flat end of
the wheel wrench to pry along
the edge of the cover until it
comes off.
2. Turn the fully extended
wheel wrench one-half turn
counterclockwise to loosen all
the wheel nuts. Do not remove
them yet.
Notice:
Make sure that the jack
lift head is in the correct position
or you may damage your vehicle.
The repairs would not be covered
by your warranty.
