10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any of the ventilation or circulation ducts as this may cause electric
shock, fire or otherwise damage the unit.
11. The unit’s power cord must be connected to a properly grounded and protected, 120V electrical outlet. Always use
ground fault protection where required by the electrical code. To reduce the risk of fire, do not run cord under
carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and
where it will not be tripped over.
12. Avoid the use of an extension cord, which may overheat and cause a fire. However, if an extension cord must be used,
the cord must be a three-wire cord, No.14 AWG minimum size, with a grounding plug connector and rated at a
minimum of 1875W.
13. Always disconnect the unit from the power supply before performing any cleaning, maintenance, relocating the electric
fireplace or when the unit is not in use for long periods of time.
14. When transporting or storing the unit, keep it in a dry location, free from dust, excessive vibration or other factors,
which may damage the unit.
15. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or
dammaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical
adjustment, or repair.
16. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
17. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air inlets or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed,
where openings may become blocked.
18. A heater has hot and sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used
or stored.
19. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
