tion number; and, (3) the warranty transfer fee of $500.00 for boats with hull lengths less than 24 feet and $1,000 for boats
with hull lengths of 24 feet or more.
For purposes of this limited structural hull warranty, the term “structurally defective” means
the presence of a defect that causes the hull to be unsafe or unfit for use under normal operating conditions; and the term “hull”
means the single fiberglass molded shell and its integral fiberglass structural components below the hull flange.
FIVE-YEAR LIMITED STRUCTURAL HULL WARRANTY
Subject to the conditions and limitations to coverage and liability set forth below, Chaparral warrants to the
original purchaser of a new
Chaparral boat for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase, that either Chaparral or its authorized dealer will, at Chaparral’s option,
repair or replace the fiberglass deck manufactured by Chaparral if it is found to be structurally defective in material or workmanship. In the event
Chaparral elects to replace a deck of a model for which the mold is no longer in use, Chaparral’s obligation is limited to provide only the nearest
equivalent type of Chaparral deck available.
This Five-Year Limited Structural Deck Warranty is not transferable .
For purposes of this limited structural deck warranty, the term “structurally defective” means the presence of a defect that causes the deck to be
unsafe or unfit for use under normal operating conditions; and the term “deck” means the single fiberglass molded shell and its integral fiber-
glass structural components above the hull flange.
FIVE-YEAR PRORATED LIMITED HULL BLISTER WARRANTY
Subject to the conditions and limitations to coverage and liability set forth below, and provided the original factory gelcoat surface has not been
altered, Chaparral warrants to the
original purchaser of a new Chaparral boat that for a period of five (5) years after the date of purchase,
Chaparral will pay all or a portion of the cost to repair or correct any laminate blisters larger than 1/8” in diameter with a depth of at least 1/16”
occurring on underwater gel coated surfaces of the hull as a result of defects in material or workmanship according to the following prorated
schedule:
Less than two years from date of purchase- 100%
Two to three year from date of purchase- 75%
Three to Four years from date of purchase- 50%
Four to five years from date of purchase- 25%
Reimbursement will be limited to one repair, not to exceed $110 per linear foot of waterline as measured from center of transom to center of
keel prior to prorating. Prior authorization must be obtained from Chaparral before commencement of repairs. Authorization will only be given for
repairs that include the addition of a barrier coat to that portion of the hull that rests in the water.
This Five-Year Limited Hull Blister Warranty is voided in the event the original factory gelcoat is altered by damage, accident repair, sanding,
scraping, sandblasting or improper surface preparation for the application of a marine barrier coating or bottom paint. This warranty will also be
voided if the hull bottom is in water for more than 60 days during any 90 day period of time unless prior to the commencement of the 90 day
period of time, a marine barrier coating has been properly applied to the hull bottom. This warranty is subject to the conditions and limitations to
coverage and liability discussed below.
This Five-Year Limited Hull Blister Warranty is not transferable.
