SAM-1000_DPS
Revision 2.0 – Issue June 2022
This 3 alternatives are already programmed in the SAM-1000_DPS Software and would be pre-defined be
-
fore delivery. Depending on the type, the sample streams are equipped with one needle valve and one elec-
tronic flow meter for continuously purge of the sample gas tube. The amount can be adjusted by a needle
valve and displayed by an electronic flow meter on the touch screen. The regulating screw of the gas flow is
accessible via a hole in the front plate and can be adjusted by an Allen key (size 3).
The sample gas pressure is adjusted mechanically by the back pressure regulator. The adjusting screw is
accessible via the hole in the front plate. The pressure can be adjusted by an Allen Key (size 4). The actual
value is determined by a pressure transducer and displayed on the touch screen. The pressure transmitter is
configured for a threshold value depending on the application. This threshold value activates the pres¬sure
alarm in the system. The flow at the back pressure regulator‘s outlet is displayed on the touch display by an
electronic flow meter without a needle valve.
The sample module SAM-1000_DPS is a Profibus or Profinet slave. The valves can be controlled in „local“
operation by the SAM-1000_DPS touch screen or in “DCS” operation by the DP- or Profinet-Master.
Filter frits protects gas conveying components and analysers. These filters blocks contaminants in the sam
-
ple gas and avoid pollution and damages of the assembled equipment.
Using the compact solenoid valve block minimizes dead volume and achieves fast response times of the
analyser system. For example trace analysis is the best application for such systems.
The sample module is equipped with 10 analogue inlets, 64 digital inlets (32 hardwired, 32 virtual) and 88
digital outlets (56 hardwired, 32 virtual). One analogue inlet and 24 digital outputs are already used inter-
nally. The others can be configured in accordance to the needs of the plant. The hardwire clamp connectors
are at rear side of the module.
The RJ-45 connector is used for remote service or integration in the plant network.
The 24VDC power supply is connected by a 7-pol Burndy plug (lockable).
The Profibus cable must be connected directly at the control unit in the SAM-1000_DPS by a 9-pol SUB-D
plug, the Profinet by 2 RJ45 plugs.
Operation and configuration can be realized by the Touch-Web-Panel or by a laptop which is connected
inside the plant network.
Options:
1. Assembling solenoid valves cleaned for O
2
-applications. Installed solenoid valves, which are switching the
sample to the analyzer system, will be changed against O
2
cleaned solenoid valves. The dimensions and the
function of the valve is the same.
2. Assembling solenoid valves for measurement of low H
2
O levels. Installed solenoid valves, which are swit-
ching the sample to the analyzer system, will be changed against H
2
O suitable valves. The dimensions and
the function of the valve is the same.
The choice of above mentioned options happen in accordance to the measurement and application of the
analyzer device.
