FAN INSTALLATION
Disconnect and lock out power supply before performing any installation work.
Working on or near energized equipment could result in death or serious injury.
STEP 1. INSTALL HOUSING
Position the housing so the bottom edge is flush with the finished ceiling. Secure to joist with
wood screws (not provided).
STEP 2. CONNECT DUCT
Using the recommended duct size, connect duct to the damper/duct connector, and run duct
to an exterior roof or wall cap using the shortest, straightest duct routing possible. Ensure all
duct connections are airtight.
STEP 3. INSTALL MOTOR/BLOwER ASSEMBLY
With the fan blade pointing away from you, align the electrical connection of the motor assembly
with the terminal on the housing. Insert the edge with the two tabs into the two openings on the
housing. Once the two tabs are in place, pivot the motor assembly so the single tab inserts into
the opening on the opposite side. Use the screw provided to secure the motor plate to the housing
by using the hole adjacent to the single tab.
Insert the prewired connector into the terminal on the housing.
STEP 4. CONNECT wIRING
Refer to wiring diagram on page 4. Reattach all electrical
box covers before applying power.
STEP 5. INSTALL GRILLE
Pinch the springs on the sides of grille and insert them
into the slots in the housing. Firmly push the grille
against the ceiling to secure (Figure 1).
