MAINTENANCE.
•
This part of the manual is important for the correct use of the welding equipment. It does
not contain specific maintenance instructions as this machine does not require routine
maintenance service. The precautions to be taken into account are the usual ones for any
electric welding equipment with a metal frame or metal cover.
•
It is recommended to avoid shocks and any form of exposing the machine to falls, sources
of excessive heat, or other situations.
•
In case of transport and / or storage, the welding equipment should not be exposed to
temperatures outside the range: -25ºC to + 55ºC.
•
In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, do not attempt to repair it unless you have
technical qualifications and proper tools. Contact one of our technical services, which you
will find on our website www.grupocevik.es.
•
Maintenance or repair performed by unauthorized technical services will void and
terminate the manufacturer's warranty.
PROBLEMS SOLVING.
Point
Description
Possible cause
Solution
1
The Temperature Indicator (6) lights
up.
Poor ventilation in the work area,
causing overheating protection to trip.
Improve ventilation
conditions.
Duty cycle range exceeded.
Automatic recovery after
lowering the temperature.
2
Welding current selector (9) does
not work.
Damaged potentiometer.
Replace the potentiometer.
3
The motor fan does not work or the
rotation speed is low.
The power switch (10) is in off mode.
Flip the switch to on mode.
The power switch (10) does not work.
Replace the switch.
Faulty fan.
Replace the fan.
4
No vacuum voltage on welding
terminals (10-11).
Excessive heating.
See point 1.
Power switch does not work.
Replace the switch.
5
The electrode holder cable (12), the
equipment output terminal (10-11)
or the plug (15) are too hot.
The electrode holder or cable has
exceeded its capacity; you are using an
electrode with a larger diameter than
recommended.
Replace the electrode with a
smaller diameter one.
The cable is damaged, broken or
crushed.
Replace the cable.
The connection at the terminal is loose.
Tighten it.
Poor contact of the electrode in the
electrode holder.
Remove any oxide layer from
the electrode and place it
firmly back in the electrode
holder.
6
The machine does not start or shuts
down immediately after starting
the startup.
The power supply voltage to the
equipment is not sufficient. Less than
200V.
Find another power supply
with
sufficient
capacity.
Remove
the
electrical
extensions from the power
cord, if applicable.

Warning!:
The equipment has a function that prevents the switching of the on and off
switch (2), successively and quickly, within a short period of time, therefore, if this action occurs,
the equipment will stop working even if it is connected with the switch in the on position. The
power indicator (5) will go off, the fan does not work and there is no no-load voltage (U₀) on the
terminals (10-11). Turn off the switch (2) and restart the computer normally after a few minutes.
